Spacedragon Style
As mentioned in the title, I have this and a "Generic USB hub" that appear in stead of an "HTC Vive" device. I've tried multiple cables and on multiple computers. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/8hj7u1rfd7zerra/AADXDlLLN_Q1J7qQ_8DXz7bQa?dl=0 As best I can bet, the thing is bricked and not initializing properly. Serial port will spit out a bunch of line feed and null characters when the device is initialized if I use something like Realterm to listen in. C.T.
Did you do anything differently from usual to end up like this? I may not be able to help you here, but please contact local support for the next step.
Spacedragon Style
I did no unusual steps, that is just what it got recognized as and installed as in device manager on my PC(s). Confirmed it was functional before it was shipped, this thing is second hand.
C.T.
Which installer did you use to install the vive console? like where you download the setup.exe?
Spacedragon Style
I just used the Vive Cosmos setup. If you open the dropbox folder you will find all that relevant information, screenshots of the setup initialization and the program itself. The headset isn't being recognized but the link box seems to be functioning fine.

Spacedragon Style
Just now, C.T. said: Alright thanks, it's best to contact customer service to have it fix. Customer service is what told me to make a forum post here, as they cannot fix software or firmware issues. Presumably I would say this is one of those, since I am not getting an "HTC Vive Cosmos" in my device manager. Just a USB hub, root device and the Qualcomm. Got it, I just left a note on the support ticket, they should get in touch with you soon.
