Psychology experiments with stuck images in a VR headset

Hi, does anyone have experience in designing psychophysics experiments on VR headset?

I was wondering if I can show fixed images or video sequence stuck on the user's view (following the head direction) without 3D modeling. I am sorry for this naive question, but I wanted to confirm that there is no obvious problems before using VR headset for psychology experiments.
