ironblader
hi, as describved above, my eset needs about 5-9 minutes to start up! also, the new vive app (vive.exe) needs also alot of time to coming up. my system: win10 x64 pro 1703, asus 1070 OC with 385.69 driver, i7 7700k @4.8Ghz, Asus Maximus IX Apex, G.Skill DDR4 4133 LED, 2x Samsung 850 Evo 500GB SSDs, Asus ROG Swift PG348Q Monitor on the 1070, and an Samsung 24" on the IGP, which is currently deactivated. Finally after installed that really weard vive software, with different 301, 306 and 308 errors, the vive runs fine now :D But i want my internet security back directly running after system start, not after 5 Minutes. What can be done? Thanks, cheers
Synthesis
Hi, it sounds like you're having problems with your ESET smart security 10 software? Have you contacted the software developers about this issue? Thanks, -John C
HackPerception
, As eset may have not whitelisted our files and processes yet. If you can, manually whitelist the main folders or disable active protection while installing or using the client. I can try and contact them about whitelisting but that process typically takes a while.
ironblader
what for? It was working perfect BEFORE the vive install! ok, thanks for the idea. but could you please be more precisely, what exact folder(s) should be whitelisted? I found the ViveSetup folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\ and the SteamVR folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ Any more? Thanks, cheers
HackPerception
, The Vivesetup folder is the one you're aiming for. It's probably wise to also include the installation directory currently in use by the VP client.
