Graceni
Hi all, I am planning on developing VR games for the vive but I heard that it takes better computer specs to support developing than it does to just run the VR games. I understand that a GTX 1080 graphics card is enough to run VR games, but is it also enough to develop them? Ultimately, what are the optimal computer specs to develop VR games? Thanks! :)
HackPerception
Hi , You're set to go on the GPU side. Editors such as Unity and Unreal will also require a bit more CPU power and RAM than playback; any i7 should satisfy your needs and 32gb of RAM will be enough for most use cases. You'll probably want a dedicated SSD to use as a swap drive and also plan for extra HDDs to back up your projects on.
