Docbeamz
Which audio format is best for 3D audio positioning – Mono or Stereo? Stereo (panning) is a form of audio imaging (between L & R channels) Is there any perceived conflict from using a stereo imaged sound file with 3D sound imaging processes? dario
That would be mono, but that's not to say you can't also have e.g. a stereo soundtrack playing at the same time (attached to your head like in real life). Spatialization will create a "stereo" sound based on your mono audio sources positioned in your scene creating reflections based on room, material and even objects occluding the sound. It'll sound more natural but do experiment with stereo audio sources if you're looking to create something different.
