CharmarleyNightfire
Hi, Desperate for some support. I've been running my Vive for around 8 months with no problems. Turned on today and got the 208 headset not found error. Have followed all trouble shooting over and over, I've uninstalled and reinstalled vive/steam. When going back through the installation, I get the (126) error "HMD Not Found Presence Failed (126)" I did notice other users had a problem with the 3 way socket, but mine is still not recognised if I by pass it and plug the usb/hdmi straight into my laptop? It's incredibly urgent. I develop VR commercially and have a client demo on Monday! Any help much appreciated!
Synthesis
It might be the 3-in-1 cable. Can you test using an alternate HDMI and USB cable? Thanks, -John C
CharmarleyNightfire
Hi, yes I had tried swapping all leads and no joy. However, the problem is now fixed! It was simply the usb driver needed updating. When following all the trouble shooting on steam (108 etc) and vive I missed the really obvious Windows device manager route. In this situation it would have been better for me to just forget I had a vive and just run a simple driver check on Windows. Anyway thanks for the response!
