ysleungrockman
Since I am working on a project on full body tracking, I need something to set the HTC Vive trackers on my feet and hip. For feet, I know I can use the Trackstrap. However, for the hip, I don't know what is the best option to fix the tracker. Any suggestion on that? HackPerception
Hi , Unfortunately, the VR development community hasn't really settled on a universal design or standard for waist mounting a tracker. Since we're all shaped differently and use the trackers in a wide range of scenarios, what works for one case may not work in others. For this reason, there isn't a commercially available waist mounting belt as of this post. Most teams are using custom belts that they made by adding a 1/4" screw to a standard belt. A common DIY method is is to use a regular belt and 3 rubber bands as you can see in this post. While that solution may be good for experimentation, it looks a bit janky for actual gaming. ysleungrockman
Thank you for reply! So there is no better option for the waist... Since currently I am using masking tape to fix the trackers, if that's the case, I will continue to stick with the masking tape since it is more available for me... But still thank you for your help!
