If my friend buys a game off Viveport and i own it on steamVR can we play together?

My friend has a some credit on VIVEport and he was going to buy Arizona Sunshine because i have it (on  Steam), but he wanted to make sure that we could actully play together before he buys it.

You will be able to play together, no worries. It doesn't matter if you pusrchase the game in VivePort, Steam or even in Oculus Store or wherever.
