Vive headset not detected

Hi guys,

I really am at my wits end with this Vive, can someone help? :(

I have been using it absolutely fine for months and now I've got headset not detected. I have tried different cables, different computers to no avail. Also one half of the front of the headset is quite hot even though nothing is happening. All i get is the red light on the side.

If I set it up as an extra display, the screen works so clearly hdmi is ok although it does go off and then back on again periodically. I can see its various USB devices in device manager so USB seems to be ok......totally stumped!

Please help me someone...... :(
