HackPerception
, This seems to be an error that hasn't been reported in the past. I've started an internal thread to investigate the problem - I will not hear back from them until after the weekend. If you are using the setup as part of your initial Vive setup; you can still use the hardware by installing SteamVR through the Steam Client. Maskut2.0
The same problem occurs with the SteamVR Room Setup. (Had to create a new account because when i tried to log in via Steam it told me access was denied.)
HackPerception
I am sending you both a PM , That application is managed and developed by Valve. If you experience a similar issue, it may indicate that you have a deeper issue within your windows installation and you may experience similar errors with other software. HackPerception
, this may be a correupted temporary installation file. Can you try the following steps: Delete the folder %localappdata%\temp\ViveInstall.<version number>. The current version number is 3.0.5.0 as of this post. You can use window's search function to find this folder. Execute the Vivesw installer again.
