vr_JL
Hi Is there a vive pro user in the Bath UK area? I am interested to test my Vive Pro and try to diagnose its problems on a working system.. I have a vive working well on an iMac Pro both in Mac OS & in Win10 via the Bootcamp emulator. I have had far less success with a recently bought Vive Pro. It connects (green light), Steam says it is running but no signal gets to the goggles. High quality cables are used throughout. The Lighthouse updates fail on both but continue to work well on the early Vive. Any suggestions? JL
Synthesis
Are you using 3rd party cables or the ones included with Vive? Generally, we do not recommend that and instead suggest that you use only cables included with the Vive.Thank you, -John C
vr_JL
The Vive Pro was not supplied with a cable to connect to its new-style control box. From headset to box but not box to computer. If this was an oversight - please supply the correct cable - it cost £800 after all & has hardly worked at all - while the old model chugs along at lower resolution. vr_JL
The base stations work well with the old vive but Steam tells me to update them - I get the same 'Update Failed' message whether I attempt an update in MacOS or Win10 JL
