Red light no error message

My vive had the same problem and was on a tecnical support call and was told to send it back and get it fixed. So I did and tryed useing it and had the same problems my vive has a green light untill I try to run a game and it turns red and dosent work everything trackes and I even updated the drivers and set steam as a addministrator not sure what else to do.

Bypass the linkbox and then change out the cables on the 3-in-1 cable to make sure it's not the cables. Let me know when you've done those things and what the results were and we'll go from there.

I pluged the cords directly into my pc and launched steam vr than the heaset screen went white and than whent back to being black.

Did the light stay red? Did you restart SteamVR? Did you try rebooting your PC?

affter I restarted my pc the light became green but as soon as I launched steam vr it became red and nothing showed up

I would reinstall SteamVR at this point (Not steam, just the SteamVR client)

There's probably some sort of setting that's wrong, since you said you sent your HMD in and it came back but you're still having the problem. You ruled out the 3-in-1 cable by trying another HDMI and USB cable right?
