Chichi
Hi, One of my main issues after one hour in the Vive is that my cable is all twisted due to my movements and gets shorter. Do you guys have a solution for this?
HackPerception
, This is the primary reason we created the Vive Wireless Adapter, the only real way to get over the limitation of the tether is to eliminate it. There are a couple of things you can try: The Turnsignal Overlay Using some sort of overhead cable management system (clunky but very effective in some implementations) Using something like a split-loom cable sleeve to make the cable a bit stiffer Ensuring that you're wrapping the tether up using the so it doesn't form "memory" and coil on you automatically. Chichi
Thanks for the TurnSignal overlay link. I did not know about it. I'll definitely try it. I wanted to use an overhead cable solution at some point but the cable is a bit short for that.
UniversalRanger
Thanks. Somebody had mentioned that in a video production class once. I had no idea what they were talking about. Over-under. I'm going to start trying that. I had been hanging my cables to avoid twisting problems, but as you probably know, that doesn't help if you have to keep bringing them places, thus wrapping them around something/themselves over and over again. My laptop power cord has a wavy twist thing going on.
