akrick
I am willing to reinstall the OS and I have a VIVE. Is there anything special I should consider doing before or after the reinstallation?
HackPerception
, You're going to have best support with Win 10 64-bit - basically avoid installing 32-bit windows. Otherwise, the general gaming PC recommendations apply such as installing the OS to an SSD. I sometimes use partitions to separate out my operating environments. For instance, I have a test bench with an instance of windows for each of the the 3 main desktop VR runtimes (SteamVR, Oculus, WMR). It helps me keep everything tidy and isolated from interfering with once another. This would be overkill for an in-home setup but it may make sense to have a VR-specific partition if you're relying on the computer for other professional tasks like video editing or simply want to isolate your everyday tasks from impacting your VR experience.
