HTC Vive not recognized

Hi everyone,

today I tried to install a HTC Vive which I borrowd from university to work on a project at home. Problem is the Vive does not get recognized by my system. I get the "Please plugin your VR headset" message in Steam VR.

So far I tried the following:

- fresh install of Vive Software and Steam-VR
- tried different USB plugs
- tried a different power-cable for the Vive-Breakout Box
- opened the HMD cover to re-plug the cables into HMD

So far nothing works and I always end up with the same message in Steam VR. Strangely, I used a different Vive HMD a couple of months ago which worked fine without any issues.

Any help is appreciated.
