IPD adjustment Cosmos Elite

Let me start by saying that I absolutely love the cosmos elite, but at the moment i have 1 little issue which isn't major. 

When I use the IPD adjustment knob on the side of the HMD it doesn't always change the IPD.  I could end up spinning it through several rotations before the display pops up in my head set and even then it doesn't always change it properly. 

For example, I will rotate the knob and let's just say the IPD adjustment screen pops up immediately; while continuously turning the knob the number will stop adjusting then randomly start again.  It seems quite random when it works or doesn't work, also the adjustment screen that pops up in VR doesn't stay there long enough and it seems very finicky.  I'm curious if anyone else has had this issue and like i said before, this issue isn't huge for me, but it is an annoyance.  After dialing the knob back and forth a couple times i can get it close enough to my IPD even with the number not updating properly.

you may be thinking this could be caused by a slow computer or freezing or something like that, but i can assure you that's not the case.  Everything is buttery smooth while i'm having this issue and this is my rig:  i5-8600k and a gtx 1080 with 16GB of DDR5 RAM.

I have the opposite problem that when i finish adjusting IPD, the windows sometimes would not disappear that I lost my patience.
