viveport games freezing or not closing

Two things have happened when i start games from viveport which don't happen when launching other  games from steam vr. 

 

I am launching them through the headset by way of viveport through the selection on the steam vr menu.

I played pearl harbor for the first time.  it's a great app.  to close i pressed the button below the track pad and returned to the steam vr  menu.  i slected the option on the bottom center to close the app. it basically hung and i had to reboot the computer.

 

My other issue happened with chair in a room.  I was in the boat in the swamp and the game hung.   I couldn't get back to the steam vr menu.  again had to reboot the computer.

 

Any thoughts???

I too can't close a game by clicking on the exit tab on the bottom screen or the exit game on steam in the vr , don't know why at the moment ..
