Avengalex
Hi guys, I'm having an issue with the Vive wireless software where not long after I start using it, I get either error 10000.15 or 10001.9. The software then does not let me reconnect until my system is rebooted, but here's the other kicker - my computer doesn't reboot after this error occurs. It stays at a black screen with everything still running after trying to reboot - I have to hard shut down every time this error occurs and I try to reboot. Even stranger is it works SOMETIMES. More often than not, it will crash with that error within minutes of loading VR up, but then there's a small chance that I can play for hours on end with no trouble.. but more often than not, it will get one of the two errors mentioned above. I have tried moving PCIe slots (I'm not doing it again because my GPU is vertically mounted and water cooled. It's a huge pain to do it), all firmware is up to date according to SteamVR, and my wireless software is version 1.20191127.1 which I believe is the latest version as it does not let me update any more. I am using a plain old Vive first edition from 2016. It works flawlessly when wired in. I did Googling and everyone else I've seen with these errors have never found a solution and the posts were two years old. I'm really hoping that someone in that time has found a solution by now because I just want to play some untethered VR. MrM
Same error for years now, never fixed by HTC. Do not buy the Vive Wireless adapter, unless you like perpetually restarting your machine. They do not support the software.
