AmazingTechVR Posted June 14, 2021 Share Posted June 14, 2021 If you haven't noticed, load up a game where you have sky and dark ground. Look up and down, you will notice the display changes brightness automatically. Very weird to see and in actual fact it doesn't rapidly dim, but half a second delay. It is a pain for some games where it's high contrast with a sunny map, but dark shadows and the detail is washed out, so you can't see anything in those shadows. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\VIVEDriver\App\ViveVRRuntime\ViveVR\ViveVRServer\config\default.vrsettings Open in notepad, search for brightness, then you will find it... set htcvr.EnableBrightnessControl to false 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It does work, after I changed it, I noticed no more automatic light adjustments. I posted this on Reddit too, people confirmed working for them.
