  1. Hi! Received an official response today from a Varjo employee regarding the Varjo Aero+RTX 4090 framedrops issue. They have fixed the issue (their response is below). When HTC will fix this flaw on the Vive Pro 2 remains a mystery. " Thomas Leinan (Varjo Technologies) Nov 8, 2022, 11:41 GMT+2 Hi, I'm happy to inform you that the new Varjo Base version 3.7.2 has now been released. This release includes improvements and bug fixes to existing features. Fixed an issue that caused image stuttering when using NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card. Fixed an issue that caused a horizontal line artifact in the video pass-through image when the application was using eye reprojection. (XR-3) Please update to the latest version and you should no longer have to use the beta build with your 4090. Regards, Thomas Customer Service Specialist Varjo Technologies "
  2. NVIDIA gave me feedback today on our issue (Framedrops RTX 4090+Vive Pro 2/Varjo Aero/HP RB G2) Quote: "Hello Aleksandr, Thank you for your patience. Your case is referred to me regarding the RTX 4090 with Vive Pro 2. Yes, we are aware of this issue with RTX 4090 and Varjo Headunit. Our developer team is investigating currently unfortunately we do not have the ETA as to when it will be fixed. We will keep you posted, once we have an update. Best Regards Zia NVIDIA Customer Care ".
  3. Hi! Reinstalling the Vive Console - solves this problem for a short time, but with the subsequent launch - Framedrops take place again.
  4. Thank you for your responsiveness! Please, if you don't mind - I ask you to play BEAT SABER a little longer and let us know about the results. After HMD Vive Pro 2 - I connected HMD Oculus Quest 2 Ultra settings (both Oculus environment and beat saber graphics menu). On Oculus Q2 - everything was great (no framedrops). But Q2 is connected not to the video card, but via wifi 6. Thank you Aragorn 76!
  5. Hi Aragorn 76! I tested BEAT SABER yesterday with the new Nvidia Drivers (526.47). Unfortunately, Framedrops still take place. Aragorn 76 - the fact is that this problem was openly announced in NVIDIA. They left a comment on the drivers that this is still an open issue: "nvidia drivers 522.25 there is an open issue with "[RTX 4090] Varjo Aero HMD displays VR stutter [3833818]". I contacted Varjo and was informed by their specialists that this issue is indeed happening (including on their Varjo helmets) and they are in correspondence with Nvidia, i.e. this is not an isolated case, but an issue that applies to all RTX 4090. For Varjo, they will release an update that almost done, but I'm worried that we don't have Varjo, but Vive Pro 2. The HTC team will not rush to update. They may not release it at all. Thank you for testing your graphics card in BEAT SABER. With a resolution of 3000x3000 - framedrops can only be seen if you look closely at the cubes that are close to you. This is similar to how a 60Hz monitor works with V-Sync turned off.
  6. Hi ! In HL ALEX - You won't be able to notice this problem. This game automatically adjusts to the equipment in tight places. Play Beat Saber, carefully watch the flying cubes and you will see framedrops, at any resolution by eye, even 3000x3000. Turn on the performance graph in STEAMVR and you will find red and pink stripes (framedrops).

  8. Hi ! Nvidia changed the render pipeline and told no one about it. Either they will return in the drivers (most likely not), or helmet developers should adapt to them by releasing a patch. Varjo is already testing the patch successfully. But it is only for Varjo products. render pipeline - a way to render an image on the helmet screen. Nvidia has changed the order of some elements. On my Vive Pro 2 - this problem also occurs. Dear HTC support - please pay attention to this problem and eliminate the shortcoming. Playing games on the Vive Pro 2 + RTX 4090 is frustrating. Even in Beat Saber! It's a challenge! Please give us feedback! Thank you.
