You will probably have to provide proof of purchase and everything since the focus3 is probably registred to the other user. Else contact the seller and have them send you a batch file and instructions. This is a enterprise headset and sadly it comes with limitations on moving devices to other user, the subscription and so on. Anything Vive do is a gesture of will in this case probably.

Create a new batch without auto enrollment is the solution. Your headset is currently on auto enrollment if factory reset, this is basically a safety measure and what you choose when you made the batch file.

Get a movie on the headset and then run it on repeat for 10hours or any video and continue untill it goes away or contact support.

I remember I found this feature in a beta build back in the days and havent seen it since, It was super neat having the menu and transparency mode at the same time. Can we have the feature back? Change of home enviroments? Its super handy being able to move around and using the menu at the same time.

As for the issues with roaming, the headsets should support 802.11r. We are currently using roaming on one of our sites and works fine. However it required a lot of tweaking on the AP side to make it work and we are using for load balancing rather than extending coverage.

I guess I could DM @C.T. directly but I think more than me are interested in if we will get acess to the XR Elite store or apps? Do we get an update that gives acess to the store or will the apps be out in the business store? Would be good if we had a documentation for this as some apps/games will be nice to show when we are out on exhibitions showing off our own apps but also what is available in VR.

To try and get around this, I opened an alternative organisation and I created a new batch configuration with the option to "Delete Existing Batch Configuration On Device" activated. I then factory reset the headset with this batch configuration and I can see that it loaded the new one. I then removed the SD card from the headset, perform another factory reset and I see that it still loads the original batch configuration! Which upon closer reading is actually what should be expected...
So in a nutshell I am softlocked from true factory resets on our headsets, as I am unable to create a new batch configuration with the original Organisation as the old DMS system has been locked out for us. While looking around in Android Debug to try and find if I can remove the batch configuration myself, I notice the folder /mnt/cota but unfortunately I can not access that folder with the default permissions set.
I believe this is hampering our ability to enroll these devices into our VADMS system with the QR Code method as shown by HTC VIVE in this video. Correct me if I'm wrong of course, but I keep trying to activate the QR Code Scanning by pressing the headset button three times but nothing happens.
Create a new batch file without checking the apply after reset the stock one should suffice then factory reset 🙂

Your headset fails to create a map of your playspace, might be due to strong sunlight, nothing to hook onto and so on. Check up on your playspace and try again :)

I guess with a fleet of headsets, it's less of an issue, as it appears that you should be able to buy a pool of extra controllers (and batteries) to be recharged, grab a freshly charged set of controllers and swap them for the controllers that have gone flat, possibly at the same time as swapping out the battery in the headset.
I guess that I could buy a second set of controllers and swap them with the ones in active use as they go flat... but having them hooked up to the charger at 100% for days on end doesn't sound like a recipe for long-term battery health.
If you turn off the headset they should automatically turn off, if you put it into standby then you have to manually turn off the controllers. Some versions had a bug where controllers didnt go into full standby/turn off so make sure latest firmware and if continous issues make a support case with HTC

What I would love to see is 120hz!!! In the previous build I was able to force 120hz and get reliable speeds at 2448x2448 by modfiying the resolution and FPS value in the quality preset json. In the latest version the value is gone and adding it back has no affect. 120hz also works in ALVR but the controller mappings are trash so i won't use it.
PLEASE PLEASE provide any guidance or unlock 120hz even if its "not supported" - I had to go back to my index for competitive gaming and i miss the wireless and high resolution!!

Yes it works anything that can use the Sranipal runtime, so for example anything that vive pro eye works at will work with the focus 3.

what I found was they are using same base with same coding. isn't it there no reason that they won't get picked up from SR_runtime??

As said above, C.T and the team got a 4090 on loan from Nvidia so hopefully we can get a extreme mode. For example I run 3072x3072 but then I also have a U6 enterprise + 4090, you can double check if you hit encoder maximum but I think max for me with a 3080 was 2662x2662

I asked C.T and they are getting a 4090 on loan from nvidia this week so they are looking into what they can do with it, else the hack is still there with changing the .json file in C:\ProgramData\HTC\ViveSoftware\ViveRR\RRServer(Qualitypreset)

Cant say about that specific router but my focus 3 works perfectly with a UniFi6 Enterprise and our Cisco Wifi6 acesspoints not much of a difference tbh. I would look into the router itself being bad or wrongfully setup with to many devices connected and so on.

Sweet update works okay but sometimes I do get an encoding error where the image smears out and the client on headset needs to be restarted, sometimes the PC app its 50/50. Overencoding error? Issue persist with that the sharpening needs to be 100% or else the image is smeared.

Works flawlessly for me, remember lightning is key to good tracking or if you can get the LBE mode trough a resell partner.
Gaming works flawlessly, clear picture and everything no issues with the software except you need other controllers or rebind the focus 3 controllers for certain games
