Unity - Wave - Running project does not show in headset

I followed the setup video in Getting started with and porting to Wave, but I am unable to run my unity game on the vive xr elite headset. The only difference I noticed between the video and my setup was direct preview control panel does not have start and stop device APK options. I've tried using Vive Streaming Hub and Start Streaming server to no effect.

I've tried a couple versions of unity now 2022.2 and recently 2021.3. Noticed that when I, Start Streaming Server, the machine does not appear on the headset like it does when running Vive Streaming Hub. Headset is the XR Elite.

This is related to other bugs reported that Wave - Direct Preview does not work. This seems to still be the case. I can build and run the project and it will "work" in Unity but pressing play does nothing.

I have been developing on the xr elite for a while now, mainly using steamvr. I have attempted to switch to android using WaveVR and am running into several issues, one is like you mention, clicking play button in unity after running "Start streaming server" does not run on headset.

I have also built an APK, installed it, but when starting it on the elite it just crashes.

I  have also attempted to "Patch and run" directly to the device, is deploys, I can see it attempting to start on device but crashes the same as the APK install.

Have you had any success with any of these ?

No, I had to cut-bait and go back to OpenXR which works fine. I will have to return to this soon though as I want to publish through viveport and can only beta test in wave. Hopefully they will resolve the issues soon.

Hi can I ask how did you manage to get it running in headset with OpenXR? I am trying to develop a PCVR app with XR Elite in Unity, and I followed the set-ups from Vive official documentation but failed to get the build running in headset. 

And if I want to use steamVR to run, do I need to import SteamVR plug-in as well? Sorry I'm new to the VR development
