What’s new

• VIVE Browser 1.14 (preloaded):
  • Added support for voice search in Mandarin.
  • Improved display of hands and hand gestures in VR.
• Added support for the latest VIVE Business Streaming v1.10.12.
• Added support for using the microphone of external headphones.
• Updated the system with the 2023-02-06 Android security patch level.

Hand tracking 2.0

• Improved hand occlusion.
• Improved pinch stability during room setup.
• Enhanced depth to allow direct interaction by touch (for apps).

Enhancements and fixes

• Optimized memory for LBE mode.
• System time after device startup can now be restored to the last saved system time.

Software customization service

• Added pointer direction for VIVE Wrist Tracker so that the wrist tracker and hand pointers won’t appear at the same time.
• Improved wide-angle and fast-moving gestures.
• Enhanced fast-moving behavior for controllers.
• Fixed a bug that occurred when enabling marker-based drift prevention and maker-based scene alignment.
• Improved relocation performance with ArUco markers.
• Added a lost tracking message in VIVE Manager’s LBE map creation.
• Added support for the new VIVE Environment Scanner v2.0.

Other updates (for developers)

• Added more viewing options for 2D apps, including a curved display feature, and you can now adjust the size and position of the 2D panel.
• OpenXR support:
  • Fixed the OpenXR equirect composition’s performance issue.
  • Enabled the OpenXR XR_EXT_palm_pose extension.
