Controllers don't turn off automatically

It seems too often that I set the xr elite down for the day and come back the next morning with the controllers showing a 15% warning. I thought it was because the headset might stay on when it's plugged in, so I make sure to turn it off and the controllers still die. I found out I can turn them off manually by holding the button below the joystick for a few seconds but moving them around will just turn them back on.

You have to power them off completely. That involved pressing and holding the controllers until the LEDs go off. Sometimes you might have to press the button twice (once to wake it up and the 2nd time held down to power it off).

Make sure the LEDs aren't on, and you should be good then.
