Feature Request: Option that the XR Elite sends a 'turn off' message to controllers when shutting down

I ALWAYS turn off my XR Elite controllers when I'm shutting down except for when I forget and quite a bit of battery life gets pointlessly lost.

Today I tried out a different VR headset for a different purpose and when I turned off the headset, I noticed that it apparently sent a turn off command to my controllers as well and now that I've seen it done, that seems like such an obvious solution. 

Please, could we get that for the XR Elite?
