Viveport Payout Information Guide

To receive payment for all revenues earned on the Viveport platform, you need to set up your individual or company payout method.  The following guide will walk you through the documentation you need to provide to HTC as well as the steps to ensure your banking information is updated in the payout system.

 

Information you should have available 

 

Individual information

 

If you are publishing on Viveport as an individual, you'll need to provide your  

  • email address
  • place of business address
  • copy of your ID/passport

Company information

If you are publishing on Viveport on behalf of a legally incorporated entity, you'll need to provide  

  • full company name (This must be your legal company name, matching other documentation)
  • email address
  • company address 

Bank account information 

You'll need to provide detailed bank information including account number, routing number and SWIFT code so we know where to send payments. We also request a bank identification document including beneficiary name (individual or company), bank name (including branch), and account number to verify the information you provide.  

 

  • The beneficiary name must match the account holder name exactly as it appears on your bank statement.
  • In Europe and the UAE, please provide your IBAN code instead of bank account number.

 

Tax information 

You'll need to finish a brief tax questionnaire to determine your tax status and withholding rate. The required information in the questionnaire asks whether you are an individual or a company, where you or your company is located and the selected distribution region/country of your Viveport-published titles.  

 

  • US citizens and corporations must submit form W-9 
  • For individuals and corporations located in other countries, you must submit form W-8BEN (individuals) or form W-8BEN_E (corporations).  
  • If you plan to publish your titles to Viveport in China, and as an individual or company are not based within China, you must also submit the Chinese tax form (see Appendix D below)

 

Setup your payout method and tax forms 

Note: If you need to pause during the setup process, click "Cancel" and select "Save and Close." You can resume the form whenever you're ready.

 

Follow these steps to add your payout method:

 

  1. Sign in to the Viveport Developer Console at developer.viveport.com
  2. Click on Settings in the top menu. 
  3. Under Payout Method, click 'Add' or 'Edit.'

 

RECEIVER’S ACCOUNT

Note: Please fill in the form in English.

 

4. Select your account type – individual or company. If you are representing a company, please continue to step ‘4d’.

 

4a. If you are an individual, enter your bank account information as follows:

In Europe and the UAE, please provide your IBAN code instead of bank account number.

4b. Under 'Contact Information', enter your: 

  • Email address 
  • Home or business address 

 

4c. Under 'Upload Documents', upload the following documents so we can verify the contact and bank info you provided. 

 

  • Copy of ID/passport which matches the number you provided above for verification. 
  • Bank identification document. It should include beneficiary name (whoever is being paid), bank name (include branch), and account number. Most standard checks include this information. 

 

For individuals, please continue to step ‘5’.

 

 4d. If you are representing a company, enter your company’s bank account information as follows:

4e. Under Company Information, enter your company's: 

  • Company name (must be the same as the Beneficiary nameyou provided above)
  • Email address  
  • Company address

 

4f. Under 'Upload Documents', upload the following documents so we can verify the company and bank info you provided. 

  • Business registration certificate. For companies located in Taiwan and China, please provide your company registration certificate or amendment.
    • Bank identification document. It should include beneficiary name (whoever is being paid), bank name (include branch), and account number. Most standard checks include this information. 

 

The further steps below are identical for individuals and companies.

 

5. Click 'Next.

 

TAX WITHHOLDING

  1. Answer the questions and then click 'Next.'

  1. Click 'Next' to advance onto the review page. 
  2. Check your info again and confirm that everything is correct. Then click 'Submit.' 

   

Your bank information will be reviewed as quickly as possible (usually 5 business days). You’ll receive an email when it's been verified successfully or to explain why it was rejected. You can also check verification status under Payout Method in Settings.

Appendix A: Certificate of taxpayer - W-9

 

US citizens and corporations must submit form W-9.

 

Beneficiary name

This must be the same as the one you provided in Receiver’s Account section.

 

Permanent residence address

Enter your permanent residence address.

 

US Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)

  • If you are an individual or sole proprietor and file your tax return using your Social Security Number (SSN), please enter your Social Security Number (SSN).
  • For corporations, partnerships, or LLCs, please provide the federal Employer Identification Number (EIN).

 

Federal tax classification

Choose your business entity type from the drop-down menu.

 

Exempt from backup withholding

Select the box if you are not subject to backup withholding.

 

 

Appendix B: Certificate of foreign status - W-8BEN

 

For individuals located outside of US, you must submit form W-8BEN 

 

Beneficiary name

This must be the same as the one you provided in Receiver’s Account section.

 

Country of citizenship

Choose the country of your citizenship from the drop-down menu.

 

Permanent residence address

Your permanent residence address is the address in the country where you claim to be a resident for purpose of that country’s income tax.

 

US Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) - optional

Enter your Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN) if you have one.

 

Foreign Tax Identifying Number (FTIN)

Foreign Tax Identifying Number (FTIN) is the tax identification number used for tax reporting purposes in your country. You must provide your FTIN if you don’t have an US TIN.

 

 

Appendix C: Certificate of foreign status (Entities) - W-8BEN_E

 

For corporations located outside of US, you must submit form W-8BEN_E .

 

Beneficiary name

This must be the same as the one you provided in Receiver’s Account section.

 

Country of incorporation

Choose the country where your company was created from the drop-down menu.

 

Name of disregarded entity - optional

A disregarded entity is a business entity that is separate from its owner but which elects to be disregarded as separate from the business owner for federal tax purposes. If you are a disregarded entity receiving a withholdable payment, please enter your name.

 

Permanent residence address

Enter the permanent residence address of your company.  

 

US Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) - optional

Enter your employer identification number (EIN) if you have one.

 

Global Intermediary Identification Number (GIIN) - optional

A GIIN is the identification number assigned to an entity that has registered with the IRS.

Enter your Global Intermediary Identification Number (GIIN) if you have one.

 

Foreign Tax Identifying Number (FTIN)

Foreign Tax Identifying Number (FTIN) is the tax identification number used for tax reporting purposes in your country. You must provide your FTIN if you don’t have an US TIN or GIIN.

 

Classification

Choose your business entity type from the drop-down menu.

 

FATCA status

FATCA is US law aimed at preventing tax evasion by US Persons and certain US- owned entities. Choose one box that applies to your entity type.

 

Appendix D: Withholding of enterprise income tax on non-resident enterprises and individual - Chinese tax form

 

If you plan to publish your titles to Viveport in China, and are not situated within China, you must also submit Chinese tax forms.  

 

 

Beneficiary name (English)

This must be the same as the one you provided in Receiver’s Account section.

 

Beneficiary name (Chinese)

Enter your Chinese beneficiary name. If you don’t have one, please enter your beneficiary name in English. Then, Viveport Developer Console will help translate your name on your behalf.

 

Permanent residence address (English)

  • If you are an individual, please enter the address in the country where you claim to be a resident for purpose of that country’s income tax.
  • For corporations, partnerships, or LLCs, please enter the permanent residence address of your company.

 

 

 

Permanent residence address (Chinese)

Enter your permanent residence address in Chinese. If you don’t have one, please enter the English version. Then, Viveport Developer Console will help translate your address on your behalf.

 

Country

  • If you are an individual, please choose the country of your citizenship from the drop-down menu.
  • For corporations, partnerships, or LLCs, please choose the country where your company was created from the drop-down menu.

 

Finance owner

  • If you are an individual, please enter your name.
  • For corporations, partnerships, or LLCs, please enter the name of CEO or highest supervising member and this can be the same as contact person.

 

Contact person

Enter the name of contact person.

 

Phone number

Enter the phone number the contact person can be reached.
