HackPerception Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 , the USB data functionality is still present in the original trackers and is detailed in version 1.5 of the Vive Tracker Developer Guidelines. No updates to share on the 2018 integration - as far as I'm aware that project is on track.
MRY Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Can you please verify if the USB port is working now?or are you still working on it??
devsmart Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Hello, Any update to share on the status of the usb communication for the 2018 trackers? Best regards,
devsmart Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 Any communication on this point ? Please ? It's been months that we're stuck with useless accessories developed specifically for Vive Trackers that are not supported by Vive Trackers 2018...
HackPerception Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 , the primary work for this project has been completed and the final build has been turned over to engineering for final validation and to be added into the SteamVR publication pipeline.
mellott124 Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 This is great news! Do we know on average how long it takes for an update to make it through the pipeline? Building an accessory now that uses the USB interface but using a 2017 Vive Tracker assuming eventually the 2018 model will get updated.
HackPerception Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 , I don't have a timeline at this time - I am working to gain as much info about what's going on as possible so I can share it with all stakeholders in the developer community.
mellott124 Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 Thanks David. Will there be some update by end of the year? This is holding up my project with the Vive tracker.
