Dev Kits/ PRE are they still being shipped at all?

Hello everyone,

 

My name is Richard and I am a student at the Savannah College of Art & Design in Atlanta, Georgia. I'm working on a project currently on my own that will hopefully end up as part of my portfolio that is a blend of immersion therapy and gaming for the treatment of veterans with PTSD. I, myself am a disabled veteran who was injured in an IED strike in Afghanistan and I feel like my experience in combat along with my abilities as a game developer open up a realm of possibilites for immersive VR therapy (which already being used in places like Emory University.)

 

The problem is that our school only has two VR headset (an Oculus and a Gear VR if I am not mistaken) and I feel that roomscale VR with the Vive is the more advantageous experience for this type of project. So, with that said, I was wondering if anyone had any insight into whether or not DKs were still being shipped? I thank you for your time and I am happy to be here.

Hi , I'm told that dev kits are no longer available. We're now fully transitioned to the retail version of Vive for development purposes.
