nerminsh Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 Hi, I'm having a problem with the vive tracker that it's connected yet not tracking. I have steam vr version 1.1.4 . I tried to restart vive and do room setup and restart the computer so many times. I'm using a vive pro. Is there anything that I'm missing?
El-d Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 I'm assuming no solution :(. I am also having the same problem. Its connecting but no tracking. Version 1.2.8 Beta.
HackPerception Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 , What roles do you have them assigned as? What does the "Manage Vive Trackers" page detail for these trackers? This post may be relevant here.
nerminsh Posted January 23, 2019 Author Posted January 23, 2019 It's tracking now. I was using old trackers with lighthouse v2. When I used v1 It's tracking now.
Synthesis Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 That would be the issue. Good catch! Thanks, -John C
HackPerception Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 , Are you in a similar situation. Let's focus on two key questions: Are you using Tracker 18 or the Original tracker and with what kind of lighthouses Does the tracker properly track when you connect it to the PC via microUSB? If not, what is the behavior?
El-d Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Switched back to v1 lighthouse and now picking up. Should be backward compatable really. El-d
HackPerception Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 , I'm super confused by your report. Tracker 18 (blue logo) is compatible with SteamVR 1.0 and 2.0. The only incompatible between systems is that the Original Tracker (Grey logo) is not compatible with SteamVR 2.0 tracking. You're saying "Should be backward compatable really" - Tracker 18 is certainly backwards compatible.
El-d Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Its an original. Grey logo. My point being that v2 should be able to track v1 pucks but it doesn't . Switched back to v1 lighthouse and worked immediately.
