Lunahoof Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 I just bought the vive and it got here fairly quickly, I played a few hours, then came back, and one controller just refuses to pair, help please!
Rockjaw Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Hi ; sounds like from your subject that you've got a green light on one controller, blue on the other. Is it a steady blue? If so you can force the controller to pair via SteamVR - select Devices, then select Pair Controller. Let me know if that helps. You might want to check out SteamVR's troubleshooting guide too.
Lunahoof Posted October 27, 2016 Author Posted October 27, 2016 Ok, I should have worded my statement better. I have tried to pair it a number of times and it cannot find the controller. No matter what I do it wont pair more than one controller at a time. Each controller works, each can be paired by itself, but not together. It worked the first time I set it up, then I took a break to give the controllers a full charge and put the base stations into a more permanent position. When I rebooted the system I can only get one controller to pair at a time. How can I fix this?
Rockjaw Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Ah, I see - thanks for clarification. Take a look at this detailed troubleshooting guide for controllers specifically. Amongst various solutions there you might want to try resetting your controllers, which I'll repeat here: 1) Hold down the trigger, menu button, trackpad button, AND grip buttons on the controller (everything except the system button) 2) While holding the buttons, plug your controller into your computer with a micro USB cable (you may need an extra hand to do this) 3) Wait for five seconds, then release the buttons 4) Ignore the new storage device that appears and unplug the micro USB cord to reset If none of these work, you may want to reach out to Customer Care (US link is in my sig; if you're outside the US, change your location in the Vive site to get to the right page).
Lunahoof Posted October 27, 2016 Author Posted October 27, 2016 Sorry to make you reply, I talked with customer service and they fixed it. It was Razer Synapse that was causing issues.
Rockjaw Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Not a problem at all. I get to use this again. ;) (Seriously - ish - yay for Customer Care! Can you click 'Accept as Solution' somewhere in here, , so people know it's solved?)
UnseenCyborg Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Thanks for telling me about Razer. Is thre a way to fix it or do I just have to close it every time?
Rockjaw Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Hey , try updating to the latest Razer Synapse drivers. If you still have issues, you may need to check in with Razer.
BBenton Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 What exactly did you do? did you turn it off?
