Yann Leurent
Thanks for the answer@VibrantNebula. I have very skilled developpers in my company, specialised in integrating various technlogy related to VR. I am looking for the best option for my clients. The thing is, we are developping VR simulators. Those VR simulators always need the integration of a specific controller (radio-command controller) for machines' piloting. We want the user to have only this radio-command controller in his hand, meaning we don't use the regular headset controllers. To do so, we integrate on the headset a leap motion that will enable the user to interact with 3D assets and also teleport in the VR. The next step for us would be to offer our client that kind of simulators upgraded with wireless technology. Today the leap motion requires a USB connection. My developper team is not convinced that eye-tracking would do the job for our purposes.
Minestar
I'm frustrated I didn't see this thread until I already purchased the Wireless Adapter. But, it seems as though the Vive Cosmos headset is disabling the USB-C port, but not initially. I was doing some testing this evening and I can get the LM control panel Diagnostic Visualizer to show an image for a few seconds until the Cosmos turns the USB-c port off. To see this, I opened the LM control panel. With the wireless adapter powered off, I plug the LM into the USB-C port. I then power on the wireless adapter. I can see the device status indicators all go green for a few seconds, but then it gets disconnected. So, why is the Cosmos disabling that port? If this is a current issue, is there an option to use a separate power bank for the LM?
