  1. Yes, we're aware of the situation and are looking into it. Can you all tell me when you bought your Vives and from where? There have been several versions and as you know, the most recent models are slightly different (mostly lighter components) than the ones that launched a year ago. That would be useful information for us. Thank you, -John C
  2. As of June 16th of this year, SteamVR beta updated 1497655233 has addressed this issue. https://steamcommunity.com/games/250820/announcements/detail/3062859752408416744 Previously, 208 error was reported when it should have been a 108 error. Valve has corrected this in the above release. Thanks, -John C
  3. , I responded to you in the other thread, but it occurs to me: is your headset exposed to direct sunlight? That can interfere with the infrared tracking. Thanks, -John C
  4. Am I understanding you correctly that you're saying your Vive headset gets unusually hot during use and this seems to correlate with a loss of tracking? This is true for all three of you? Can you each give me the details on your set up: what version of Vive you have (Consumer, Business or Pre) how long it's taking for this to occur and how warm the room is you're playing in? It is summer, so some places can get pretty hot. Also, probably a dumb question, but you're using the standard parts from the kit, not a third-party cable or anything, right? Thanks, -John C
  5. If you could PM me your email address associated with the account, that would be awesome. Thanks, -John C
  6. Go ahead and PM me, we'll do some troubleshooting and process an RMA if necessary. Thanks, -John C
  7. Go ahead and PM me, I'll see if there's anything I can do to help. Thanks, -John C
  8. Which games did you install? Neither of them work? Have other applications worked? Does it work when you launch directly, rather than through Vive Home? Do steam games work normally? When you get a chance, please PM me the email associated with your Vive accont. Thanks, -John C
  9. VibrantNebula, thank you for that correction. Twack3r, please disregard point 1 of my previous post. Thanks, -John C
  10. There are a couple things to consider here: 1. Make sure you have selected the Vive microphone as the default recording device. It should work all on it's own, but if you have another recording device, it won't work. 2. If you can't get that to work, you could also use your own headset/microphone and connect it to the far right-most USB port in the HMD. Thanks, -John C
  11. What is the URL you're downloading the software from? Thanks, -John C
  12. Thanks for posting that! That's a great contribution. Thanks, -John C
  13. Try these instructions: Unpair all controllers using the SteamVR console In order to connect and isolate multiple controllers, the system will pair the controllers with a unique identifier and will link this information to the tracking system. When one or both controllers are having pairing issues, releasing these settings will allow you to pair both controllers without interfering registries. On the PC, browse to C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\tools\lighthouse\bin\win32 Run exe Type unpairall in the console window and then hit enter. Once finished, the console window will display two identifiers as confirmation. Close the console and restart SteamVR. Attempt to pair the controllers again.
  14. Are you also on Windows 10 (creators update)? Or are you using a previous version? Thanks, -John C
  15. Both of you can PM me and I'll send you our latest public release for Vive software. Where are you located, out of curiosity? Thank you, -John C
  16. I sent you a link to a tool that might help. Let me know in the PM. Thank you, -John C
  17. Try downloading from here: https://www.viveport.com Thanks, -John C
  18. Couple things to try: 1. Make sure your graphics drivers are updated 2. Make sure you're on direct mode, not extended mode. You can change this in the SteamVR settings. Let me know if that does anything. -John C
  19. I just sent a message up to our development team to see if they know what's causing this. It seems to be working fine for me too. You're located in the US, right? Thanks, -John C
  20. What URL are you downloading from? Thank you, -John C
  21. Which of the troubleshooting steps in the OP have you tried and what was the result? We can work from there once I have a clearer idea of what's already been done. Thanks, -John C
  22. Yes, go ahead and send the details privately here.
