  1. Remove All SteamVR USB Devices The Vive system is composed of about 9 different USB drivers, including Bluetooth, controllers, camera, receivers and audio, among others. Due to different reasons, like software updates, change of connections, system updates or malfunction of a device, the USB drivers might get into conflict and reinstalling them is a good way to get everything back to its working state. Go to SteamVR > Settings > Developer. Click on Remove All SteamVR USB Devices. Once finished, the program will prompt a confirmation of the process. Disconnect the Link box AC Adapter and the Link box USB cable from the computer. Close SteamVR. Connect the AC Adapter back to the Link box and then connect the USB cable directly to the computer to a USB 2.0 port. Open SteamVR and check if all the devices all properly recognized, by going to SteamVR > Settings > USB > Refresh.These are the default drivers: Vive Link Box: · Hub · Hub Controller · Bluetooth Vive Headset: · Watchman Board · Camera · Audio Device · Main Board · Wireless Receiver 1 · Wireless Receiver 2 Note: This list includes the drivers of the devices directly connected to the computer by USB, as it is the HMD and Link box. Controllers and Base Stations are connected to the headset through Bluetooth and then to the computer, so these devices are not going to be visible on this list. I'm afraid Brazil is out of our service area. Where did you originally purchase it? Thanks, -John C

  4. Open up SteamVR application > click on SteamVR drop down menu > Select "Settings" > select "USB" and tell me what you see. On a working Vive, all of those items should be bright grey. If any of them are dark grey, that means there is probably an issue with the component. Thanks, -John C
  5. I just ran a fresh install on my PC to test. It works fine. You're downloading from www.vive.com right? There's something going on your PC or your network which is preventing the download. The executable works... There's usually 5 components that show up in Add/Remove Programs. It should look like this:
  6. We've gone through a number of software revisions since May. What version are you currently on? Are you running as administrator? Do you have all your anti-virus software disabled? Thanks, -John C
  7. Okay so that's good. Anyone else have Kasperksy Total Security or similar products? Guys, what do you think about this issue? Is it anti-virus blocking the app or is there something else going on? Thanks, -John C
  8. What troubleshooting have you tried? Definitely make sure your anti-virus is not interfering and that you're running as an administrator. Has it always not worked or just recently? If recently, when? Thanks, -John C
  9. Have you used the troubleshooting tool in settings? If you follow through the steps it will prompt you to general a report or log and send it to us. Well, according to Nvidia's website, the 1050gpu is not considered by them to be "VR ready" https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/geforce-gtx-1050/ Here is a current list of Nvidia's supported GPUs: https://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/vr/supported-gpus And you can also run a VR ready test for your whole system from us: https://www.vive.com/us/support/category_howto/how-to-check-if-pc-meets-system-requirements.html I hope that answers your question, -John C

  17. You should be downloading from www.vive.com Latest version is r1076 (as of 7/21/17). Make sure your anti-virus is disabled or has exceptions for Vive software. Make sure you are running as administrator when you install and launch the .exe Thank you, -John C

  21. Yes, we're aware of the situation and are looking into it. Can you all tell me when you bought your Vives and from where? There have been several versions and as you know, the most recent models are slightly different (mostly lighter components) than the ones that launched a year ago. As of June 16th of this year, SteamVR beta updated 1497655233 has addressed this issue. https://steamcommunity.com/games/250820/announcements/detail/3062859752408416744 Previously, 208 error was reported when it should have been a 108 error. Valve has corrected this in the above release. Thanks, -John C
  23. , I responded to you in the other thread, but it occurs to me: is your headset exposed to direct sunlight? That can interfere with the infrared tracking. Thanks, -John C
  24. Am I understanding you correctly that you're saying your Vive headset gets unusually hot during use and this seems to correlate with a loss of tracking? This is true for all three of you? Can you each give me the details on your set up: what version of Vive you have (Consumer, Business or Pre) how long it's taking for this to occur and how warm the room is you're playing in? It is summer, so some places can get pretty hot. Also, probably a dumb question, but you're using the standard parts from the kit, not a third-party cable or anything, right? Thanks, -John C
