Fangh Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 Hello. Is there a way to play in the editor inside the headset ? I mean, with an oculus quest you can create an oculus link then, when you press PLAY in Unity, it does connect though USB or Wifi and you can test your app ineditor. Is there a way to make this with Focus 3 ? I tried Vive Business Streaming but my headset seems to simulate a Vive Cosmos and the Unity Wave XR Plugin does not work. I tried DirectPreview but it stays stuck on "connecting...." in the headset. What is the process ? Thank you
HackPerception Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 @Fangh This is usually called "direct preview" or something similar. It's integrated into WaveSDK but we're finding that it isn't currently working for many developers. We're currently working to rectify that. Right now, you'd unfortunately have to build the APK and sideload it 😕 1

It will really speed up the development flow to test without a 3 minute compile time.

Alex_HTC Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 @jayliu-deloitte There have been some stability updates in the latest 5.3 sdk release https://hub.vive.com/storage/app/doc/en-us/UnityXR/UnityXRDirectPreview.html A site to better help with the setup processhttps://developer.vive.com/resources/vive-wave/tutorials/direct-preview-unity/?site=de That said, I know @Tony PH Lin always welcomes feedback! 1
