    [NvAPI] HDCP EVENT: LINK LOST

I think is where it's happening. NvAPI is the NVIDIA API, so I'm thinking it might be a driver issue. If you're updated to the current version, try rolling it back or reinstalling. If you're not on the current version, update to the current version. It might be worth just entirely reinstalling the NVIDIA software and updating from there.

    Thank you,

    -John C

Definitely, I would recommend blackout curtains, because you need something that's going to pretty much block as much as possible. The older TV could definitely be the issue, also, if it's controlled via IR remote and it's on during play, that could also be IR interference.

    Thank you,

    -John C

  3. See that part: " 22577 back-facing hits during the previous tracking session"

That's a reflection. Sheets might not be enough, you'll need thick opaque curtains that block IR light. A thin sheet will allow IR light through in some cases. Is there anything in your play area that might be reflecting? Metal pole? Large window? Sports trophies?

    Thank you,
    -John C

Are you running the latest version of NVIDIA drivers? What troubleshooting steps, if any, have you taken so far? If you could, please create a System Report from SteamVR and PM me with the link to the resulting file. (You can used pastebin or upload it to a filehosting site. Whatever works for you.)

    Thank you,

    -John C

Thanks for posting. Could you tell me about your system specs? When did this issue start? Does it happen all the time or just some times? During particular games or all the time?

    Thank you,

    -John C

Does it only happen when you up the settings page? Make sure you installed the software as an Admin and that your network security isn't blocking the vive executables. Usually that's the cause for the software to behave this way.

Check those things and then let me know if it's still happening or not.

    Thank you,

    -John C

Since you already created the system report, could you upload it so I can take a look? You can PM me the link to whereever you hosted it. Make sure you check all the cables first. Unplug and firmly push them back into the ports.

    Thank you,
    -John C

Hi there. Thanks for letting us know about this. I think we might need more information regarding your setup and the problems though. When did this start happening? Is it during a specific game or application or does it happen even before you load a game? Is it the same controller or does it change? How long does it take before the behavior commences? What are your PC specs?

    Thank you,
    -John C

So the issue is the controller, right? Nothing we've suggested has helped? You're still seeing it freeze and then you're getting audio issues?

The controller and the audio issues aren't related, but I'm happy to help you with both. If you'd like, I'll pay to ship your device here in the USA to test and determine what exactly the problem is. If you would like to do that, please PM me.

    Thank you,
    -John C
