  1. At the end of the play (2 minutes)... Fixed resolution: around 3000x3000 per eye (Steam VR), Ultra 90FPS (console). Only 2 framedrops at the end (0.1% reprojection), maybe due to the interruptions to take the screenshots (I have to pause the game and enter the FPSVR menu). By the way, I reinstalled iCue, MSI Mystic Light and Cooler Master Masterplus.
  2. Screenshot of the FPS overlay during BeatSaber session (resolution: 3000x3000 per eye, Ultra 90FPS).
  3. I also have these two white spots but in my case, I do not notice them during a game. And Gamedrix is right, they seem to fade away when the headset begins to heat.
  4. More details about my setup: RTX 4090 Gainward Phantom, i9-12900KS with 32Gb of Kingston DDR5 RAM, MSI Ace Z690, fresh new install of Windows 11 (family), no monitoring softwares such as MSI afterburner, iCue, MSI center or ASUS/Gigabyte equivalent programs. More information tonight...
  5. Is it just me or it has disappeared with the latest NVIDIA drivers ?
  6. Hi, I believe you but frankly, I do not see anything and I am extremely sensitive to any graphical artefacts. I can see all frame drops in FPSVR (it gives you a cumulative number of frame drops). And again, I only have 2 or 3 frame drops during play, believe me (corresponding to pink peaks from time to time). The same with Moss that is a much more demanding game when graphics are maxed out. Only one framedrop at 3500x3500 for 10 minutes of game play. No reprojection. I clearly see what you mean with v-sync turned off but again, believe me, I do not see such thing on my setup. Regards, Laurent
  7. Hi Aleksandr_V ! You are right for HL Alyx, this was a bad example. I just tested Beat Saber. Frankly, I see a pink peak from time to time (I use FPS VR) but during a game play, only 2 frame drops (and apparentely, they appear at the start or the end of the play). No stripes at all. Everything is smooth (details maxed out, 8x antialiasing and scale 1.8). A GPU frame rate around 2ms, Ultra settings @ 90 Hz in the console, 3400x3400 resolution per eye. Nothing wrong for me. And curiously, I did not notice any shimmering edge in my right eye tonight (but I did not play for a long time). I use the new Nvidia Drivers (526.47). Laurent
  8. Maybe my english is too bad to understand the differences but I think we are talking about different kinds of problems. The original post is dealing with shimmering or faint ripples on the right eye (I have the same problem) but I am not sure it is related to concentric rings. Anyway, this VP2 has a great potential but we are all facing all kinds of problems with it since the beginning (I stopped sending it back to Romania for repair). It is a nightmare. I never had such problems with my previous headsets and I completely agree with all the comments of Gamedrix...
  9. Hi, Maybe a silly question (I just received my RTX 4090 and had similar problems with my Vive Pro 2)... Have you checked the resolution per eye in Steam VR ? Mine was set automatically to more than 6000x6000 (per eye !!). Too much obviously ! I reduced it down to 3000x3000 and no problem anymore (I just tested HL Alyx and Moss...). Laurent

  11. Same problems (shimmering and faint ripple crossing the screen from to to bottom, right lens) for me with a brand new setup. It is running at 90Hz (Ultra).
  12. Hello guys, I was very busy these last weeks at my work and had no time to test my repaired VP2. Like you Gamedrix, I sent it two times for repair. The first time, they did not do anything but the second time, they changed the panels. My first impressions is that it is better but these vertical lines have not completely disappeared. I still see them, unfortunately. So far, that bother me less but that could be a placebo effect. I have to check that in my games. Therefore, I decided to keep the headset but this is not completely satisfying for me. I still hope they will include a software correction in one of the next Vive Console Software releases. Best regards, Laurent
  13. And still this problem of vertical lines on the VP2... Are you working on a workaround at least (like Valve did on the Index) ?
  14. In my opinion, you are not sensitive to this issue. Do not expect very large vertical lines but tiny ones, easier to detect on a uniform background (and when moving the head). Similarly, many users were satisfied with the wireless adapter (on the VP1) because they were not sensitive to the subtle loss of image quality (I did not test it on my VP2). I am pretty sure that all VP2 headsets have this "vertical lines" issue and that is why HTC is silent.
  15. With this kind of answer, do not be surprised if your customers ask for a refund now. I am fed up. This is a promising headset but since we do not receive any answer on this major issue, we are obliged to ask for a refund. This is incomprehensible for me.
  16. Yes, see my post above (https://forum.vive.com/topic/9859-be-awareim-also-experiencing-vertical-lines-with-head-movement/?do=findComment&comment=41384 No fault/No failure according to HTC... That is why I am asking a refund now.
  17. That's good news for you. I hope I will obtain a refund as well. I'm still waiting for a final answer.
  18. I should have returned it before the end of the first 2 weeks. I was hoping for a fix ! They claim it is a hardware problem but I still do not understand why this happened suddenly after the headset fimware update. We all need an explanation. Please communicate HTC ! Either you are working on a fix (I still think that reverting back to the previous firmware would solve the problem) or we need to be refund. There is no other alternative. This is an excellent headset but this problem ruins the experience.
  19. I do not understand how they missed that during the testing phase. Clearly, this headset was not ready for a worldwide release. They should have waited for a few months more in order to fix all these issues. This is not serious.
  20. We are in the same situation. I received my headset back from Romania today and I contacted HTC-France for a refund. I am really furious.
  21. Hello guys, @GAMEDRIX: First I opened a ticket with HTC-France and explained my problem, citing the various discussions we have on this topic (not only in this forum). Then I sent back the headset to their repair center based in Romania for HTC-Europe. @Franky2021: thank you for your feedback. Do you still have your headset ? Have you received your refund ?
  22. The same for me (vertical lines, that is why I posted my comment here) except the audio buzz.
  23. Hi guys, After 10 days back in Romania for a diagnostic, HTC sends me backs my VP2 (I will receive it tomorrow) with this report : "No Repair Action after testing (C001). No Failure/Fault found". I'm furious !!! I asked them a complete refund !
