  1. @amata_takeda - I'll try to connect with you with someone in Japan 🙂. Your English is actually really good - it's more that Viveport's language can get tricky and I wouldn't want to accidentally misunderstand you.
  2. @cynical - Unfortunately the Pro starter kit does not have any presently scheduled restocks. The Elite bundle is currently out of stock but more will be available next week.
  3. @chilli chubb Those type of bundle codes are usually stackable and will just push out your next autorenewal out by however many months appropriate for a given promo.
  4. We still don't have anything firm to share - we're still working to adjust operations during COVID. The entire global supply and fulfillment chain is heavily disrupted - it's just part of the larger global situation.
  5. @Rooty We'd likely recommend contacting MSI Support as there are some VBIOS specific things that have occurred on some MSI models. There are so many different variations on laptops that it's impossible for us to comment on other OEM's gear at that granular of a level. This thread for a similar MSI laptop may be relevant https://forum.vive.com/topic/6882-vive-cosmos-msi-ge63vr-raider/page/1/
  6. @chilli chubb, Pro had the Viveport hardware bundle code on the bottom righthand corner of the giant getting started sheet that's the first thing you see when you open the box. If you can't find it - email customerservice@viveport.com with your order number/proof of purchase and they can find it in the backend.
  7. This behavior is specific to SteamVR v1.11.11 which saw a significant audio systems update. It has been hotfixed in SteamVR V1.12.1 beta. The current workaround as of 27-April 2020 is to opt into the beta branch until Valve publishes their fix in the public branch. @Jakey
  8. Hello @amata_takeda - There is a bit of a language barrier here so I'm not able to fully understand your question. Infinity is a program opt-in - you can just update your store listing in the back end without having to re-upload the binary. A paid app opting into Infinity is a very easy process that only takes a few clicks and a confirmation. I can try and connect you with someone from our Japanese division if you'd like - that would probably make communication easier.
  9. It was back online as of 7pm PST and there are no further planned maintenance for the week. @mikegtp18
  10. @cynical What country? I can try to find out but no promises.
  11. Starting at 3pm PST today, April 27th 2020, Viveport will be temporarily down due to routine maintenance. Our services will be temporarily unavailable for a few hours while we update our system. Thank you for your patience. If there are any late-breaking news about this update cycle - our teams will share them via Twitter.
  12. @tonton No, Vive HMDs operate at a fixed FPS of 90hz and that rate can't be changed. We believe that 90hz is the minimum standard for a smooth VR experience and that's our target on desktop. The closest thing you can do is use "legacy reprojection" mode - it will render the content out at 45fps are use reprojection to display those 45 frames as an interpolated 90.
  13. @Mamato - We have no major shutdowns or backlogs at any of fulfillment centers presently. That said, once the package leaves the fulfillment center - it's out of our direct influence and processing speed depend entirely on the shipping carriers operational situation which will vary heavily by region. It will probably get to you in a reasonable amount of time but it's a very complex and region specific kind of thing.
  14. @SLOOPYDOMBAH - Blinking red lights on 2.0 stations indicate the base-station has a mechanical issue. Your unit would be covered under warranty at that age - the best thing to do is to go to get the serial number off of the back of the affected base station and then navigate to www.vive.com/support -> contact us -> contact us to request a repair RMA from an agent specific to your region.
  15. I'd generally advise against buying any used HMD unless it comes with a factory/reseller warranty. People are way harder to their VR equipment then they realize and it's something you bang around, sweat into, ect... HMD's and very similar to cars in how they depreciate in value and how wear and tear plays on them.
  16. @R3D MessiaH - It's always hard to troubleshoot a used HMD since you never know what you're actually getting. The most common way to fix this kind of issue would be to unmount that headphones, clean the contacts, and then remount the headphones taking extra care to ensure that it's screwed in tightly but not too tightly that you start to strip the screw. You can also try flexing/bending the part of the headband that the audio cable routes through (the part of the headstrap between the headphone arm and the HMD itself). That can help temporarily close open circuts and future help you isolate downward. If the speaker were blown - it would probably still be able to make some sort of distorted noise so I'd lean towards it being a wiring or physical contact issue. The audio is digital - there would be no benefit from It's also important to go in and check to make sure you don't have a balance issue in window's audio settings. That can cause this. You can alternatively take of the headphones completely and use a UBC-C->3.5mm adapter to hook up your own headphones. The Pro originally comes with replacement caps for those who want to use their own headphones - not sure if those would have made it into your kit but they're mostly aesthetic and not technically required.
  17. @Brightonuk - Someone posted a guide on this recently. I don't have a DAS on-hand to test this on (COVID) but the instructions seem reasonable.

  19. @BrookeK - It's variable on the Vive Pro because that headset has "eye relief" adjustment. We unfortunately do not make parameters for our lenses available to the public..
  20. Nvidia VRSS is a new technology available on compatible Nvidia GPUs that can boost VR visual performance when used with VRSS compatible software. It works by focusing rendering resources towards the center of the VR display where the user is most likely to focus their attention and where optical clarity is best. It functionally emulates similar optimizations made possible by eye-tracking and simulates some of the effects on hardware without eye-tracking. While VRSS offers higher quality visuals while using less system resources on paper - it is still a very demanding use-case that renders more detail overall. The minimum requirement is a GTX1650Ti and Nvidia's current recommended is a GTX2070 Super. This is still considered an advanced feature and thus is currently disabled in Nvidia's default settings. If you encounter issues with VRS - please disable it before further troubleshooting measures are explored. In order to enable VRSS - you'll need to be on driver version 441.87 or later. Click here for a guide on how to Clean installing new Nvidia drivers. Open the Nvidia control panel and navigate to the manage 3D settings panel. Scroll down to the very last option: Virtual Reality Variable Rate Shading and make a selection. Afterwards hit "apply" to save your selection. There are only 3 VRS options with the default-option being "off". Our recommended general use-setting for most in-home experimentation is "Adaptive". "Adaptive" will only enable VR whenever your GPU has enough headroom to avoid dropping frames while rendering the additional detail. "Always-on" should only currently be used on the most advanced GPUs and in situations where framedrops are considered acceptable. Below is a list of VRSS supported application as of April 2020: Battlewake Boneworks Budget Cuts 2: Mission Insolvency Doctor Who Eternity Warriors VR Hot Dogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades In Death Job Simulator Killing Floor: Incursion L.A. 21. SteamVR has a built-in controller testing utility that can be useful when troubleshooting controller-related problems. You can access the testing utility from SteamVR Settings -> Controllers -> Test Controllers. The input utility works with all officially supported SteamVR controller types. Testcontrollers_Cosmos_Test_2.mp4 Testcontrollers_Wands_Test.mp4 (SteamVR 1.11.11; Cosmos; Vive Wands; Vive Pro Wands)
  22. @drshan Can you please test the controllers using the following utility? SteamVR -> Settings -> Controllers -> Test controller. \ Testcontrollers_Cosmos_Test.mp4
  23. @grumpygrappler - Do you have access to that specific laptop already? If so, I'd recommend checking the settings page detailed in this reply - everything I said there would apply to your specific case. Contacting the manufacture for a confirmation is always the best. That Club3D adapter is the most reliable out of all of the aftermarket adapters we've had experience with.
  24. @lamyipming Thanks for posting this - posting an annotated tutorial was actually on my list of to:do's for early this week 🙂 Here's the confirmed support list currently: Battlewake Boneworks Budget Cuts 2: Mission Insolvency Doctor Who Eternity Warriors VR Hot Dogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades In Death Job Simulator Killing Floor: Incursion L.A.
