dgtlhrt
Awesome! Best news all week, I will be wishing you well and hoping for a patch by tonight. *Fingers crossed. Thank you for your efforts!
HackPerception
, It won't be tonight unfortunately... It take time for these types of updates to make their way through the SteamVR distribution process. If I learn more about the status of getting this resolved, I will post here. pebcak
It looks like the latest SteamVR beta might have the patch:"The SteamVR Beta has been updated with the following changes.Gamepads: Fixed issue with gamepads going into “standby” mode even though buttons are being pressed on the gamepad. HTC Vive Pro: Firmware update which improves audio quality." https://steamcommunity.com/games/250820/announcements/detail/1658889742644238659
HackPerception
- Thanks for pointing that release out. Anybody experincing this bug is more than welcome to try the beta branch and new firmware - it will hopefully solve your audio issues. If you do give it a go, please report back as to if it helps :)
dgtlhrt
Yes, I am familiar with the Steam system, they can push out updates as soon as they are ready. Excited to try this tonight! Getting ready right now.
Atiash
Now that the incoming sound has been addressed and hopefully fixed, will you be addressing the microphone aswell? I don't know about anyone else here, but the audio quality from the microphone is atrocious. It's by standard using a generic usb audio driver, as if the device itself installed none. pacman
Tried it out and the issue is still there. This feels like an EQ patch because you still dont feel any of the bass. I mean, wasn't there a built in driver and amp? The headphones sound like a cheap pair of 5 dollar earbuds.
biopharmacist
I've also installed the firmware, restarted my hmd and there is still no bass. If it's the hardware, will we be getting a replacement pair of headphones or a significant refund?
DocEnglish
I don't think that was the audio fix update, I use mine every day and had a firmware update just before the last official post above.
biopharmacist
As stated by Pebcak, it did say that it would improve audio quality for the Vive Pro... And it didn't.... Still absolutely no bass... On a 1000$ (CDN) HMD...
